The Government has introduced a special programme “Melaka My 2nd Home (MM2H)” for the foreigners who have expressed a desire to stay in Melaka for long term, and perhaps wish to retire here. This programme allows successful applicants to retire and reside in Melaka for as long as possible on a social visit pass with multiple entry visa. Initially, the Social Visit Pass is for a period of ten (10) years and is renewable after the expiry of the pass.
Open to citizens of all countries recognized by Malaysia, applicants are also allowed to bring their spousesand children under the MM2H programme. Melaka is an ideal location to relax and unwind. Geography
One of the fourteen states in Malaysia, Melaka is located on the south west of the Peninsula Malaysia. If one wish to go abroad, it only takes two hours to reach Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA). Travel to Kuala Lumpur from Melaka requires less than two hours whereas it takes less than four hours for one to travel from Melaka to Singapore.
