Kesidang atau more known as Bread flower in English, is the Melaka state flower. Categorise in the family of Apocynaceae, Kesidang also is also known ”Vallabris Glabra“ . The smell of the Kesidang flower is especially strong and significant in the morning and it is always said that it has the smell similar to pandan leaves.
The small yet beautiful Kesidang flower is suitable for indoor decorations because it is capable of filling the room with strong and long lasting scent. Kesidang flower is also used for decorations and can be found on various places namely temples, churches and tepak sirih during Malay wedding functions. Traditionally the lcoal Malaccan also used Kesidang flower as hairdressing and wedding accessories.
